Cellist, Joong-In Rhee, was a former student of the late Janos Starker at Indiana University where he completed his undergraduate studies. He holds a Masters degree in Cello Performance from Yale University. Joong-In was a 1st prize winner of many competitions, including the Lima Symphony Young Artist Competition, Bloomington Symphony Competition, Indianapolis Symphony Young Artist Competition, Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, and a finalist of the Brazil International Cello Competition. He was co-principal cellist of Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra where he gained recognition and received invitations to perform with world renown musicians such as conductor/pianist Myung-Whun Chung, violinist Young Uck Kim, and violinist Isaac Stern.
Joong-In is the founder of Agape Ensemble, currently Vice-President of IIMF (Image International Music Festival), and Artistic Director at YMR Music Academy.
