Active soloist and chamber musician Yoonji Hong has received her Bachelor's and Master's degree in piano performance from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University under Marian Hahn. She is the recipient of the Alexander Sklarevski Piano Scholarship and Leon Fleisher Scholarship for five year program BM/MM at the Peabody Institute. She has played in numerous master classes with distinguished artists, including Elizabeth Pridonoff, Menahem Pressler, Evelyn Brancart, and Donna Lee. From early age, she has won numerous competitions in southern California through MTAC, SYMF, and Winner of Friends Performing Arts Scholarship in Instrumental Music while studying with dedicated teacher, Yung-mee Rhee. Furthermore, she has extensively performed piano duo and trio since 2007 with former coaches including Benjamin Pasternack, Alexander Shtarkman, and Michael Kannen. Besides being a performer, she is a devoted teacher and a church accompanist in Los Angeles.
